Between the Land and the Sea, will be at Harbour House from 6-11 August. Building on the success of Loving the Beach 2013, The Magic Forest 2015, Sea Sense 2017, Between the Land and the Sea will be a themed exhibition by The House Group which consists of artists Alison Theaker and Rod Birtles.
It will feature works in a variety of media and including interactive elements.The centrepiece of the exhibition will be a giant Kraken sea monster made from beach trash, which will stretch from the front section of the gallery through to the rear. Work displayed will include photographs of sea scenes, prints, collages, sculptures and mixed media works. There will also be artwork and poetry which resulted from an outreach project with primary children from Thurlestone and West Alvington schools. There will also be a time lapse of waves, accompanied by a soundscape of sea sounds.
