ALL NEW at Wild Artichokes is our 'Cook the Book' night. We're reaching for our favourite cookery books from around the world, to bring you a feast of new and exciting dishes.
Our first book to feature in this new series of events, is 'State Bird Provisions'; a restaurant in San Francisco, that uses dim sum style trolleys to serve small plates of finely crafted food; an eclectic mix of flavours influenced by Japanese, Italian and Californian cuisine.
From potato chips with crème fraiche and cured trout roe, to black butter-balsamic figs with Wagon Wheel cheese fondue, to their famous savory pancakes (such as chanterelle with lardo and maple vinegar), and more substantial dishes such as their signature fried quail with stewed onions (the quail being the official state bird of California), they've excited the tastebuds of many a diner, not forgetting of course, their rip-roaring reputation for ice cream sandwiches.
£35 per person for a multi-course menu.
