Crabstock will bring together a wealth of musical talent from across the South Hams and beyond for this all-day event on the banks of the Kingsbridge Estuary. The venue is a glorius place to spend the day and enjoy the acts that will be Crabstock.
Following many years of supporting Crabshell Concerts, Crabshell Records and popular folk sessions, the organisers are delighted that the Crabshell Inn is prepared to host Crabstock. The Crabshell Inn will operate as usual so there will be ample opportunity to indulge in craft beers, cider sna choice wines or softer options. There will be food on the menu to satisfy all tastes.
The Big Tent
The main events will take place in the big tent which will include Dandy Jim, Cool Beanz, Silvington, The Orchard Family and Old Gaffers, culminating with Harbottle & Jonas, Totnes' extremely talented and respeted duo. The day ends with a good old fashipned Ceilidh come Barn Dance with Plymouth's highly sought after Classic Ceilidh Band and caller.
Showcase on the Deck
Alongside events in the big tent, there will be an almost continuous succession of musicians showcasing their talents "on the deck" including Paul Reid, Folk on the Rock, Rhilig, Rumpus, Phil Kennerell, Patrick Barton, Monstrously Musical, Gollywhoppers and more. Just sit in the sun and enjoy the music or sign up on the day for a 25 minute spot.
You might jut want to listen but you're welcome to bring your voice and instrument along to join in one or more sessions. These will vary from Americana / Oldtime, Traditional Music and tunes to general mixed music and song.
