Planning Guidance WorkshopDistance from the centre of Kingsbridge: 8.5 miles
The South Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty Unit is offering planning guidance representing several months of work and consultation. The Unit is launching its Planning Guidance on Wednesday, 21st June at Stoke Fleming Village Hall from 4pm to 6.30pm.
The official launch will be performed by Sir Geoffrey Newman Bt who lives at Stoke Fleming and is owner of the Blackpool and Start Estate. The document is intended to assist applicants in identifying best practice when embarking upon development of all types in the protected landscape with section eight focussing on detailed guidance for the main development types. It is hoped that it will be adopted as a supplementary planning document ensuring that it becomes an integral part of the local planning procedures.
Following the launch participants will be able to attend workshops on estuarine and marine development or identifying special qualities. There will also be a planning surgery with 10 minute appointments to be booked in advance by calling 01803 861384. AONB Manager Roger English commented:“This planning guidance represents several months of work and consultation, and will be extremely useful to applicants, agents, development management committees and planning professionals considering development in the protected landscape.”
