Prawle FairDistance from the centre of Kingsbridge: 5.4 miles 2:00 pm
Prawle Fair is an annual event and the result of a huge community effort by the residents of Devon’s most southerly village East Prawle. A traditional Fair with swing boats, train rides, greasy pole, knobbly knees contest and children’s fancy dress parade.
It kicks off at 2pm with the traditional raising of the glove to show the fair has commenced. There are lots of stalls including tombola, hoopla, coconut shie, human fruit machine and the Pimms and tea tents. Lots of food available – BBQ and cream teas!
There will be live music during the fair and in the evening at the after show in the Pigs Nose Inn. Last year’s beneficiaries included Coleridge Bus, Chivelstone Community Hall, First Responders, Coast Watch and Chemotherapy outreach.
