South Hams Spring Ramble New DateDistance from the centre of Kingsbridge: 4 miles 10:00 am
Come and spend a day out with us in the beautiful South Hams, Devon. We are going to walk along the Coast Path from Thurlestone to Bantham, with its sandy beach and clean surf, as well as its delightful views across the water to Burgh island, and then pass through the picturesque village of Thurlestone on the way back, where archaeologists have found that the settlements in this part of south Devon, go right back to the Stone Age.
We will also hear from one of our local volunteers, Bill Lawrence, about this part of the Coast Path that was hit pretty badly by the winter storms of 2014 and how the Association worked with partners and supporters, including Thurlestone Golf Club, to repair the route here.
This 4 mile circular walk takes place on Friday 20th April at 10.00 am.
Refreshments: tea and coffee on arrival and after the walk - with a slice of cake (with the option of having lunch in the Golf Club restaurant after the walk)
Cost: £3.00 per person (for refreshments provided by Thurlestone Golf Club)
