Alston is a working family farm and campsite. The twelve acre site is situated in a quite sheltered and secluded valley adjoining the Salcombe estuary, amongst some of Devon's loveliest countryside.
Providing ideal habitats for numerous species of birds and an abundance of wildlife. The complete site is well sheltered and protected by bordering woodland and hedges.
Level accommodation for all touring vans and level, slightly sloping and terraced areas are available for tents. Ample toilet blocks, hot showers, hot water at wash hand basins and dish washing sinks, hair dryers, and laundry equipment are on site.
There is a large play area with ample space for ball games etc. A dog walking area is also provided. Water taps are well positioned throughout the site and during high season an extra adjoining field is available for overflow camping.
We stock Calor and Camping gas. There is a small shop on site which is open during busy periods. We also have a rentable static van and plots available for new static vans so please do get in touch for more information.
Our rentable static starts at £300 (all water and electric included) a week in low season, it sleeps up to 6 and is fully equipped. It has a gas fire, TV and DVD in the living room. The kitchen has a gas oven and hob, fridge, microwave, kettle, toaster, crockery, cutlery and utensils. The bed linen is also provided, one double bed room, a twin bedroom and a double pull out sofa bed in the living area. We allow 2 small - medium dogs but 1 large at an additional cost of £20 per week.
From Exeter on the A38 travelling south take the turn off towards Totnes A384 and Kingsbridge A381. Continue to follow signs for Kingsbridge until on approaching Kingsbridge the signs for Salcombe should then be followed. The Kingsbridge to Salcombe Rd. is the A381 and Alston Farm Camping and Caravan Site is signposted on the left hand side prior to entering the village of Malborough. Follow the road down for about 1 mile and the site will be found in its own secluded valley.
