Salcombe Fishing Adventures

Salcombe Fishing Adventures is a collaboration of fishermen along with their vessels and skills, offering a variety of exciting ways to go fishing on the Kingsbridge Estuary and out at sea.

Mackerel Trips

Step on board Woodpecker and head out for our popular 2-hour sea fishing trips, where you will fish with feathers for mackerel, gurnard, pollack, bass, and even John Dory if you're lucky!

Bass Trips

These are longer, 3.5 hr afternoon trips, specifically focused on catching Bass on the drift between Start Point and Hope Cove. Using fast-action lure rods and a variety of soft plastics and jigs, we will seek out these legendary predators, and expect an almighty fight when you get one on!

Estuary Trips

Kingsbridge Estuary and her many creeks is a haven for wildlife, and on some days you almost feel like you're in Africa (minus the hippos)! There's some great fishing to be had and we offer a couple of different trips. The first focuses on teaching beginners to lure fish for the very first time, and a second, more advanced trip for lure and fly-fishermen targeting bass.

Spearfishing Trips

For the ultimate way to see the fish in their own habitat, and take one home for supper in the most sustainable way possible, this could be the trip for you! Max 'The Frenchman' runs three popular spearfishing courses for different levels.
