Overview

The Lobster Pod is a new bistro that has opened in Hope Cove. Situated overlooking the harbour and beach, it has spectacular views across Bigbury Bay and both indoor and outdoor seating. The latter include enclosed pods with comfortable seating and tables. There are also takeaway meals and the ability to purchase uncooked fish.

We have three bookable pods which accommodate from 8 to 10 persons depending on the pod. Bookings are for 1 hr 45 minutes at a time giving you plenty of time to finish your meal. For your comfort, the pods have heating and Bluetooth sound systems (and a telephone for requesting further drinks!)

The pods and tables are very roomy so we encourage people to share them when possible. Take the opportunity to make new friends! The tables, the bistro and the rotating pod (17 covered seats in total) are non-bookable: feel free to pop in for food or just a drink. For private hire for special occasions, please enquire at the Bistro.

Location

The Lobster Pod is right above the harbour at Hope Cove, nestling beneath the Cottage Hotel. The coast path passes right alongside and the beach is less than a minute away.

Hope Cove itself is about a 15 minute drive from Kingsbridge. There is a car park situated above the beach, just a few minutes walk from the Lobster Pod
