The Old Forge

Tastefully furnished and decorated, the property is surrounded by stunning countryside and just minutes from the South West Coast Path, The Old Forge is a perfect base to relax and enjoy the peace and quiet. The beaches of Beesands and Torcross are within a 10 minute drive and the stunning Blackpool Sands a little further along the coast.

The Old Forge is a very romantic setting, particularly as it is quiet and secluded being tucked away at the end of a farm track. Delightful sunrises and can be enjoyed whilst sitting outside with a nice cup of tea/coffee. Or sunsets with a glass of wine or a good cold beer on the small but pretty area outside the forge entrance which looks over a barn or why not wander up the steps to the guests garden behind the Forge the see further afield where sleepy thatched cottage lights glow warmly.The towns of Kingsbridge and Dartmouth are within a 30 minute drive and local shopping facilities within 10 -15 minutes.

From parking area, steps up to Front door and into Kitchen: fitted with electric hob, microwave, fridge with ice box. Sitting/Dining Room: TV, DVD, dining area, double sofa bed. Bedroom: king size double bed. Shower Room: large shower cubicle with shower, WC, basin (washing machine).

Outside: lovely gardens with sitting areas, BBQ.

The property is suitable for 2 adults (max) and 2 children

Please note that the access to the garden is via steps which are narrow in places, without handrail, and may not be suitable for those with limited mobility or children

A well behaved dog is welcome - please ensure kept on a lead at all times outside the property and in the vicinity of the farm next door.

Over view:
A delightful  wooden shuttered Old Forge with little light pollution or noise except for owls at night and cockerels in the day time, the odd cow mooing or a distant tractor.  This is the place to seeing dancing dragon flies, or birds of prey wheeling overhead.  Come and recharge your batteries here.

Directions:
When you arrive at the Stokenham roundabout from Kingsbridge, turn right.  Keep straight following the signs to Start point lighthouse.  You will see a sign saying ‘ Bickerton only’ which is crucial.  When you see this sign turn left and continue down the hill you will arrive at Bickerton farm where you must turn right and drive slowly through the farm, continue along the track and our house is in front of you The Old Forge is on the left.
