17th March, 2018
Be part of the solution to tackle ocean plastic. Join us for a fun, free, family-friendly way to start your weekend!
Surfers Against Sewage, Less Plastic and Forest and Beach are co-hosting this South Hams beach clean at Beesands on the morning of Saturday 17th March 2018.
Meet 10am in the car park beside the park. Due to Storm Emma there is lots of cleaning to be done around the village green - it's likely we will focus our efforts more here than on the beach this time. Parking available. Gloves/bags will be provided. All welcome!
Please BYO cup if you would like to partake in hot drinks afterwards. Amanda's son is fundraising with the Scouts to attend the 24th World Scout Jamboree- North America 2019, so he'll be making hot drinks after the beach clean, and would appreciate any donations to his fund. Please remember to BYO cup - it's a good habit to adopt!
Hope to see you there!
Also if you're interested in organising a beach clean in the South Hams we can support you, e.g. by lending you the SAS beach clean box, sharing tips, or promoting your beach clean here so it's well-attended. Please get in touch if you want to make a bigger difference and plan your own beach clean - our beaches need all the help they can get to stay plastic-free!
