3rd September, 2024
The next “Every Folkin’ Tuesday” Comedy Night at The Old Warehouse will take place on Tuesday 3rd September 2024.
The evening will be hosted by West Country comedian Tom Glover (a 'firm audience favourite' – Chortle) with a set full of hilarious stories of family life and tales of living in the south west. Tom began his comedy career by making the finals of the South-West Comedian of the Year competition and has gone from strength-to-strength ever since, most recently touring his award nominated debut show 'A Glover not a Fighter' at venues across the country.
Tom has developed a loyal following across the South-West due to a series of long-running MC residencies and has developed a knack of winning over any crowd with his tales of life on the outside and his observations on the minutiae of the everyday.Tom is also a popular online content creator across social media with his viral videos receiving more than 10 million views and counting.
Award-nominated Louise Leigh will open the evening. Louise wanted to do comedy when she was sixteen, but it took her until her forties to get round to it! Now, she brings daftness, deftness and some brilliant physical comedy to a stage near you - you’ll never think the same way again about shaving your legs.
“Imaginative, brilliant” - The Scotsman
Second up will Sully Jones, a powerhouse recently emerging from the Welsh circuit. His passionate style and well-crafted joke writing have earned him Cardiff’s prestigious Golden Thumb Award 2023. Sully’s talent has also secured him a spot in the semi-finals of the ‘So You Think You’re Funny’ 2024 competition, where he will perform at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival this year.
Our headliners - due to popular demand - are the hilariously bonkers Raymond and Mr Timpkins Revue.
Lightning-fast choreography meets uber-swift editing in a fantasmagorical collision of quality entertainment. An overload of velvet, sandals and multi-hued wool provides a startling accompaniment, the whole effect being that of a slim man and a fat man putting their (metaphoric) bums in your face.
“A mad, anarchic triumph of stupidity over style. Not to be missed” The Guardian
“Absolutely hilarious” Viz
N.B. Limited tables will be available to ticket holders booking for dinner on the evening.
