he Old Warehouse are very happy to announce their third “Every Folkin’ Tuesday” Comedy Night will take place on Tuesday 7th May 2024.

The evening will be hosted by loveable West Country favourite and highly sought-after MC, Tom Glover. Tom combines tales of fatherhood and country living with hilarious observational routines on daily life. In recent times Tom also finished runner up in the prestigious 'Lastminute Comedy Club Comedian of the Year’ and reached the finals of the ‘Inaugural Petfringe Comedian of the Year’.

Tom’s infectious personality and playful approach make him an instant hit with audiences, and he has enjoyed two successful runs at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival – in addition his debut full length solo show was nominated for ‘Best New Show’ at the 2019 Leicester Comedy Festival Awards before being taken on tour around the UK.

“A firm audience favourite” – Chortle
“Much like a James Acaster show… Glover creates layer upon layer of laughs” – The Skinny

West Country-based comedian Sandi Smith will open the evening. Sandi has been performing for a year and in her first six months she reached the semi-final of 'Funny Women 2023' and the heats of the 'BBC New Comedy Awards'. She's currently performing around the country, with tales, tips and observations from her forty-something years on earth.

Deceptively spacious, she must be seen to be appreciated!

"Sandi is a breath of fresh air to stand up comedy, shes very very funny and so good for someone so new to the circuit" Patrick Monahan
"Very good indeed. Great material and audiences love her."  Nick Page

Second up will be Bedford-born Chris Chopping who began his stand-up career in Wales and quickly installed himself as one of the top-rated acts in the country. Now, his dry outlook and hilarious punchlines have established him as one of the go-to pros for clubs across the UK, where his strong material and deadpan persona have garnered him a cult following.

A regular commentator on Jamie Owen’s BBC Radio Wales Show, and BBC online content ‘SESH’ the English comic even turned his hand to standup in a foreign tongue, making his Welsh-language TV debut for S4C’s stand-up showcase Gwerthu Allan last year.

Haedliner and proud Welshman Rob Hughes provides a laugh-packed set that has been delighting audiences across the country for the best part of a decade. Rob's laidback deadpan delivery and viciously self deprecating style have made him the Eyeore of comedy that you can't help but love.

"A definite highlight" - South Wales Evening Post
