Great Barn is a very large, pretty, 3 bedroom barn conversion in the quiet hamlet of Kernborough just 10 minutes outside of Kingsbridge. It is a perfect base for exploring the area and has beautiful beaches a short drive away on three points of the compass. The nearest beach is a 7 minute drive away.The Barn is beautifully situated and has lots of character with a private, sunny, enclosed, double gated courtyard with terraced areas to enjoy the sunshine.
GROUND FLOOR :
The pretty outside porch leads into a very large oak floored dining room. There are oak beams throughout. The centre piece is a large oak dining table that can accommodate up to 10 people. There is also a small snug area with 2 comfy chairs around a wood burning stove plus also a large sofa.
The cottage kitchen is off of the dining room and is equipped with 2 ovens, a ceramic hob, dishwasher, washer dryer, microwave, toaster, kettle and 2 fridge freezers.
The modern family bathroom has a large shower area, bath, hand basin and WC. It has underfloor heating.

Stairs lead up to the impressive lounge. This is a very large, airy space with plenty of comfy seating. It is particularly attractive with high oak beams and a wood burning stove. There is a smart TV with Netflix and amazon prime and decent wifi. There is a range of games available.
The balcony overlooks the dining room and has many more features including the original grain hoist for the barn. There is a chest of drawers with a wide selection of books for reading.
The large master bedroom has a super kingsized bed, a chest of drawers and a very large wardrobe space. The bedroom has its own ensuite.
This contains a large double bath, luxury shower, sink, WC and dressing table, there is under floor heating
The outside area is a lovely, pretty, private cobbled courtyard. There are sun loungers and 2 large dining areas for alfresco dining. The courtyard is enclosed by an impressive set of double wooden gates. There is further parking outside for 2 cars so that the courtyard can be kept car free.
