In addition, there are beaches, exhilarating walks, excellent local produce, and abundant foodie options, all to be found nearby. 

Set across three floors, this cosy light-filled three-bedroom, two-bathroom dog-friendly cottage features fast Wi-Fi, a 4G phone signal and everything else that’s necessary to help you relax on your holiday and have a good time.

The village features a shop/post office and pub, and a playground at its centre. With children in mind, we have bunk beds in one of the bedrooms. There is a family bathroom as well as an en-suite bath/shower, sink and WC. Water pressure in both is excellent. The cottage features a washer/dryer, microwave and cooker, a wood burner, a smart TV, DVD player, Bluetooth speaker, maps and guidebooks as well as a selection of contemporary books to read. There's also a sun trap patio, perfect for outdoor eating with an outside hose for washing down boards, wetsuits, muddy walking boots or mucky paws. Also, for those that don't like to be woken by early morning sunshine, there are blackout blinds at every window.

Aveton Gifford offers fabulous walks directly from the cottage. For example, it’s possible to walk to some quiet idyllic spots inland as well as Ayrmer Cove, Burgh Island or Bantham Beach (we do). At nearby beaches we’ve even had the odd surf or open water swimming lesson. Other fantastic beaches including Hope Cove, Thurlestone, Mill Bay, Mothecombe and Blackpool Sands are all just a short drive away.
