Foxglove, Stancombe Manor

Foxglove is a beautiful stone-built cottage lying within the fabulous 21-acre grounds of Stancombe Manor, near Sherford. With two bedrooms and lovely views, it is the perfect place for a relaxing holiday for a family, or romantic break for a couple.

Foxglove has high-speed Starlink internet, as well as Freesat television with access to streaming services.

Just a few steps away from Foxglove, you can use numerous leisure facilities on the Stancombe Manor site:

•    A swimming pool (with sauna)
•    A tennis court (with racquets and balls available at Foxglove)
•    A snooker room with a full-size table
•    A children's games room with a pool table, a table tennis table, and much more
•    A children's climbing frame and swings
•    A pitch-and-putt golf course (with clubs and balls supplied by Stancombe Manor)

On the lawn opposite Foxglove, there are picnic benches, with several barbecue areas available in the grounds.

Stancombe Manor is in a idyllic and tranquil position, located near an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. There are many footpaths in the area to explore (including the South West Coast Path) and numerous spectacular villages and beaches within easy reach - for example Beesands (with two lovely seafood restaurants), Hope Cove (much loved by families due to its sheltered position), South Milton Sands (protected by the National Trust) and North Sands (a short walk from Salcombe).

Kingsbridge itself is fascinating to explore, with its array of independent shops, restaurants and pubs. Other notable places to visit include Dartmouth, Totnes, Dittisham (where you can catch the foot ferry to Greenway, Agatha Christie's house), Noss Mayo and Bigbury-on-Sea. The villages of Stokenham and Chillington, with their lovely pubs, are a short drive away from Foxglove. Stokenham also has a well-stocked farm shop, cafe and brewery (bar attached and take-outs available!).
